Couple getting ready at one or multiple locations? Ceremony is a must. Photoshoot afterwards? Reception arrival, but also including speeches? Cake cutting? First dance? Couple leaving?

The cost for your wedding photography will vary according to number of hours, creativity and experience of the photographer, amount and style of image editing, the delivery of an on-line or printed album, the delivery of printed images / canvas and other services that wedding photographers can offer – including 2nd shooter, travel, video or drone coverage. Some photographers charge by the hour, others have packages which can be altered to suit your budget and needs. Some photographers have short packages from $500. Most couples spend between $3000-$4000.

Do I need a wedding album?

Some couples skip the wedding album and just receive their images on USB. This is great for those with smaller budgets, but keep in mind that digital data can corrupt and you wouldn’t want your wedding photos to be accidentally deleted! A wedding album is a great way to show family and friends the highlights of your day.

Do I need my images re-touched?

Most couples prefer to have ‘natural’ images from their wedding day. Some photographers deliver images as taken. Other wedding photographers apply filters and other creative digital touches to achieve their photographic style which might still appear natural to most people. How much does a wedding celebrant cost?

Wedding celebrant fees vary according to experience, amount of travel, and services offered. Some will include the use of a PA system and signing table in their fee. Expect to pay from $400 for a quick legals only ceremony and more for a ceremony individually crafted around your love story.

What does a wedding celebrant do?

A wedding celebrant will usually offer you an obligation free meeting to discuss your ceremony. If you choose them, then they will plan your ceremony, offer tips and suggestions on your vows and readings / poems, a rehearsal, officiate your marriage and complete the necessary paperwork.

How far in advance should I book a wedding celebrant?

Once you have decided on your wedding date you can book your celebrant. For weddings in Australia you need to lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage at least 30 days prior to your wedding, and no more than 18 months in advance of your wedding date. Your celebrant will lodge this paperwork on your behalf.
